Met Eireann are forecasting slightly chillier conditions before the year is out after a milder than usual Christmas week in Ireland.
Temperatures are expected to dip back closer to 0C in the next few nights but it won't be anything like the snowy conditions over in Scotland.
It comes after many in Wexford were surprised by just how much rain hit the county despite a status yellow weather warning in the south-east - which stays in place until 11pm tonight.
Roads were wiped out and others left impassable after the torrential downpours in the county.
And that wet trend is likely to continue right up until we begin 2022.
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "On St. Stephen's Day there will be scattered showers, most frequent over the northern half of the country. There will be sunny spells too, the best of these in southern areas where showers will be more isolated. Highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees with light to moderate south to southwest winds.
"A drier period during the start of the week before turning unsettled again. Becoming milder than normal by midweek.
"Lingering showers dying out and becoming largely dry on Sunday night. Clear spells initially, however there is a risk that quite widespread areas of mist and fog will form in light southeasterly winds. Some rain may also push onto southern coasts before dawn. A colder night than of late with lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees. Chance of frost in areas that do stay clear.
"Some patches of fog may be slow to clear on Monday morning. Monday will be largely dry aside from a few coastal showers, and there is the chance of some light rain or drizzle at times in southern areas. It will be quite cloudy overall, with limited bright spells. A chillier day with highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees generally, in light to moderate easterly winds.
"Turning wet overnight with rain spreading from the west. There will be some heavy falls, but rain will ease in most areas before morning. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees, becoming milder overnight. Southwest winds will freshen overnight."
