The heat is about to ramp up again according to Met Eireann who say Dublin could hit as high as 23 degrees today.
The clouds are going to stay hanging over Ireland but the humidity will ramp up with some light scatters of drizzle in between.
Experts say the rest of the week is looking very similar with tomorrow also going to be hot and cloudy with some sprinkles
Met Eireann said: "It will tend to stay cloudy most of the time today in Dublin with a lot of dry weather but also occasional patchy light rain or drizzle. Warm and humid with highs of 20 to 23 degrees, light breezes.
"Cloudy overnight and mainly dry with lows of 10 to 14 degrees. Light breezes."
Wednesday will be mainly cloudy with occasional outbreaks of rain and drizzle through the day, increasing by evening time. Highs of 18 to 22 degrees in light breezes."
The later half of the week will see the good times continue, and clouds are expected to scatter to let the sun belt down on the island - but there may be a little morning rain on Thursday.
They said:"Outbreaks of rain on Thursday will clear during the morning and skies will brighten. A few showers will develop in the afternoon but there will continue to be good sunshine into the evening time. Feeling fresher in westerly breezes and highs of 18 to 22 degrees.
"Friday will be bright day with good sunshine, especially during the morning. However showers will break out by afternoon but these will tend to be well scattered. Highs of 18 to 21 degrees in northwest breezes.
"The odd shower still on Saturday but otherwise dry and fairly sunny for the weekend with highs of 18 to 22 degrees."
