Met Eireann county by county breakdown of hot weather as temperatures soar to 25C in parts

The weather outside is beautiful with Met Eireann expecting the hottest day of the year so far.

While some parts of the country have been issued with a weather warning - list here - the rest are basking in gorgeous sunshine.

Weather chiefs predicted it would be as warm as 24C in parts before a big change on Sunday.

Here's all you need to know about how warm it is in each part of the Republic of Ireland today at 4pm in the afternooon.

Met Eireann Saturday forecast

"Many areas will be dry, calm and warm for the rest of today with further spells of hazy sunshine.

"However, heavy showers and slow-moving thunderstorms will affect parts of Munster, Galway and some southern parts of Leinster with some local hail also and spot flooding. A few lighter showers developing over Ulster too."
