Met Eireann confirm when the sun will join warm weather for scorching few days

Ireland has had a scorching few days over the last number of days with temperatures hitting as high 23C in parts of the country.

While the country saw the return of some mixed conditions on Wednesday with rain showers arriving once again, Met Eireann has predicted the sunny spells will return very soon.

And with that will be some absolutely sweltering weather to go with it.

Forecasters have said that while it's been cloudy and humid this week there is some very sunny weather arriving as early as Friday.

And that will continue right into the weekend.

A forecaster said: "It's been fairly cloudy, warm and humid so far this week, this will continue over the next few days but brighter, fresher conditions will arrive on Friday followed by high pressure building bringing warm a spell of warm and sunnier weather this weekend.

Met Eireann has also explained that Ireland has seen an increase in humidity this week has been caused by 'Tropical Airmass'.

Meanwhile forecasters say that current indications are for cooler and more unsettled weather early next week. The amount of rain next week will be small with pressure remaining high.

Staying warm but mid-week will bring both sunny spells and scattered showers.

As for the following week, current indications suggest that it will be marginally cooler than average. Rainfall amounts will be lower than average in the south but some it will be slightly wetter than normal in the north.
