Ireland's weather will continue much drier than usual in the run-up to Christmas with little chance of any poor conditions.
The national forecaster is expecting some very settled conditions right up until the New Year, albeit temperatures will soon dip.
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "High pressure will be the dominant influence across Northwest Europe during this seven day period with near or slightly below average temperatures across the country of Ireland.
"As the settled spell continues, much drier than usual conditions are expected in across the country too. However, with fairly slack winds, frost and fog will develop at times, especially early in the period. There is a chance that high pressure cell may weaken later in the period."

They added: "Early indications suggest high pressure will remain the dominant feature during the early days of Christmas week with lots of dry and settled weather expected. Turning somewhat colder as the week progresses."
It comes as the UK is predicting horrid conditions to end the year with a "snowbomb" being forecast by some experts.
Ireland will avoid that however with chilly, but very dry conditions for the foreseeable.
