Mesut Ozil's one-word Instagram message after Arsenal win to set up FA Cup final vs Chelsea

Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil watched on from the sidelines as his teammates secured a place in the FA Cup final with a 2-0 win over Manchester City.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's brace was enough to ensure Gunners will be back at Wembley Stadium next month against rivals Chelsea after the west London outfit beat Manchester United 3-1.

But will Ozil be involved?

Well, Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta has explained the reason for the former Germany international's continued absence is solely down to one reason in particular.

"Pure football reasons," Arteta revealed during his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon.

"My only ambition is the best squad and the best players who give us the best opportunity to win the game."

Arteta's decision to leave Ozil out of his matchday squad was great news for wonderkid Matt Smith as he was named amongst the substitutes for the 2-0 victory.

In the aftermath of the game, numerous Arsenal players have been reacting to the result with various posts on social media.

Ozil had been silent, until now.

Taking to Instagram, the attacking midfielder broke his silence after Arsenal's win without actually referencing the result.

He uploaded an image of himself with the caption which reads: "M10."

With his continued absence from Arteta's matchday squads, the writing would appear to be on the wall for Ozil in regard to his future at the Emirates Stadium.

Turkish website Fotosport claimed last month that the Fenerbahce board are plotting a way to crowdfund a potential move for Ozil.

However, the 31-year-old's agent, Erkut Sogut, has said that the midfielder will make a decision on his future at some point in 2021, but insists he won't be leaving the club this summer.
