Mesut Ozil's Arsenal leaving date has already been revealed as his agent blasts Mikel Arteta

Mesut Ozil's agent is in the headlines once again for his comments regarding Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

In an exclusive interview with ESPN, Dr. Erkut Sogut has hit back at Arteta's comments regarding Ozil's absence from Premier League and Europa League squads and urged the Gunners boss to reveal the real reasons behind the 32-year-old's treatment.

As this situation threatens to boil over, it's looking increasingly likely that Ozil has played his final game for Arsenal - which was the 1-0 win over West Ham United back in March.

Furthermore, Ozil's contract at the Emirates Stadium expires at the end of the season and it's no secret that the club have attempted to move him on in recent transfer windows.

During the summer reports claimed he had been offered a massive £15million-a-year contract by Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, to leave the Premier League in favour of a move abroad.

In recent weeks there has been talk of a move to the MLS, while former West Ham United striker Carlton Cole has talked up a move to the London Stadium for Ozil.

A surprise move to the Hammers could only happen once the January transfer window opens, while MLS clubs can still do business until October 29th.

With that said, it has already been revealed that Ozil won't be leaving Arsenal until next summer.

"I do not think there will be a change in the case of Mesut Ozil until the summer of 2021," Dr Erkut Sogut told Turkish Instagram channel futbolgiant in July.

"He has a contract. There is no change. He will remain in Arsenal."

This stance serves as a boost to the Gunners in the long-term.

Ozil's wages work out at £18.2million a year - via Spotrac - which means Arsenal would be in a position to save that yearly sum and possibly fund moves for a couple of players in the 2021 summer transfer window.

The likes of Houssem Aouar and Dominik Szoboszlai have been touted as possible replacements for Ozil, with the latter sending fans into a frenzy after a wonder-strike in the Champions League.
