Mesut Ozil's agent responds to speculation over Arsenal exit this summer

Mesut Ozil will not leave Arsenal this summer and will stay until the end of his contract until 2021 at least, according to his agent.

The Germany World Cup winner has struggled for consistency during Unai Emery’s first season at the club, which included spells out of the side, and questions have been asked about him following the lucrative deal he penned in January 2018.

That contract took his wages to a whopping £350k-a-week and there has been speculation that suggests that Arsenal are open to offers for the 30-year-old this summer, as they look to balance their books to fund incoming pieces of business.

However, according to Dr Erkut Sogut, there is no chance that Ozil will leave this summer and he aims to honour his contract.

“Rumours will always persist, there is no doubt about that,” he told Turkish Football.

Ozil annoys the Valencia fans, Aubameyang emotion and a plastic mess - Arsenal moments missed

“But one thing I can guarantee is Mesut’s loyalty. His mind is focused on Arsenal, and Arsenal only. Mesut bleeds Arsenal red, and respecting his contract is a certainty.

“He’ll be staying at Arsenal until at least 2021, and the fans need not to worry about the gossip that may come this summer. He has found a place he feels welcome and believes he has a lot more to give.”

Arsenal fans loved what Mesut Ozil did after being substituted against Valencia

Ozil has previously been linked with Fenerbahce in Turkey clear but it is highly unlikely they would be able to finance a move unless it was a free transfer, which Arsenal will not allow until the expiration of his contract.
