Mesut Ozil's agent Erkut Sogut has revealed that the Arsenal star is quarantining ahead of a move to Fenerbahce.
Ozil has been left out of Arsenal's Premier League and Europa League squads for the 2020/21 season, and has been linked with a move away from North London for some time.
DC United are understood to have made an offer to the 32-year-old, but it looks like the attacking midfielder will be heading to Turkey in the near future.
The Germany international is set to bring down the curtain on his Gunners career, but that process has so far proved difficult due to both the size of his contract at Arsenal and also the procedures in place regarding coronavirus.
Ozil's agent has stated that the player is currently in isolation after a visit to Germany, and that he will be able to push on with a move within the next couple of days.
"That’s correct," Sogut told BeIN Sport when asked if Ozil was in quarantine. "Because he was in Germany to be beside his family before he is having to quarantine in London at the moment.
"Either today or tomorrow that will finish, I’m not totally sure from Thursday it’s been five days. His quarantine is near to finishing basically. Either today or tomorrow it will finish.
"There are some rules from this country’s government that five days after returning if you do a test and you’re not positive then you can leave the house.
"He’s going to do something like this. And then after that of course the restrictions will be over and he will be able to go wherever he wants."
