Mesut Ozil has revealed that he dyed his hair silver after losing a bet on the Arsenal training ground.
The playmaker has attracted plenty of attention after pictures showed his dramatic new look during a Gunners' training session in Los Angeles.
His new hairstyle wasn't a huge surprise with Ozil often happy to experiment with his appearance, although the bold statement certainly attracted attention from football fans around the world.
While many though it was a fashion statement, Ozil discussed the reason for changing his hair colours, while also confirming that he's not the only Arsenal player to do so.
Speaking to Chris Wheatley of D2S Media , Ozil said: "I lost a bet - or we lost a bet against Laca (Alexandre Lacazette).
"(It was a) crossing challenge. You know where you have to hit the crossbar? Me, Sead (Kolasinac) and Shkodran Mustafi.
"So we lost all together - that's life!"
Say what you want about Mesut Ozil, but he's certainly a team player.
