Mesut Ozil responds as Serge Gnabry wears Arsenal shirt in Bayern Munich training

It's been almost four years since Serge Gnabry left Arsenal, but he appears to still hold a special love for his first professional club.

The German international joined the Gunners in 2011 and went on to make his professional debut for the north Londoners against Coventry in the EFL Cup a year later.

After struggling to break in to the first team, the forward was then sent on loan to West Brom in 2015 but managed just one league appearance before being sent back in January 2016 and later that year joined Werder Bremen on a permanent deal.

Gnabry then caught the eye of German giants Bayern Munich and moved to the Allianz Arena in 2017, going on to establish himself as a key man for the Bundesliga heavyweights.

But it appears he hasn't forgotten about his first professional club if a virtual training session hosted by Bayern earlier this week is anything to go boy.

In the clip shared by the Germans on their Youtube account, the 24-year-old can be seen training in this season's away top for the Gunners.

That appeared to delight Arsenal fans, with one supporter posting online: "Gnabry's got to stop playing with our hearts man."

Others were equally pleased that the German still showed love for his former team, with many commenting: "Once a Gooner, always a Gooner."

And that sentinment appeared to be echoed by Gnabry's former Arsenal colleague and fellow German Mesut Ozil, who shared his thoughts on the 23-year-old's choice of attire.

The current Arsenal playmaker posted a screenshot of the video on his Twitter account with the caption "Once a Gunner, always a Gunner?", before tagging Gnabry's account.

Arsenal fans will no doubt be checking future videos of Bayern's virtual training sessions to see if the German continues to show his love for his former team.
