Mesut Ozil has made his final visit to the Emirates Stadium as an Arsenal player.
football.london understands the midfielder has already bid farewell to his Gunners teammates at London Colney and is being allowed to travel to Turkey for a medical with Fenerbahce.
But before heading to Istanbul, Ozil stopped off at a place he's called home since arriving in the summer of 2013 for a then-club record £42.5m transfer fee from Real Madrid.
The 32-year-old has since conducted an interview with the Turkish media outside the Emirates Stadium where he had a message for the Fenerbahce supporters.
"I am coming tonight with my family to Istanbul," Ozil said. "Thank God who gave me the opportunity to represent this club.
"I will wear the shirt with pride."
Once Ozil's exit is confirmed, Arsenal can focus on their plans for the remainder of the January transfer window.
Manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu have already decided on the club's next three moves.
Continuing to trim down the first-team squad even further remains the top priority as revealed by Arteta when speaking in his press conference ahead of the 4-0 win over West Brom.
"Well, we have a large squad. We knew that," Arteta revealed."A lot of things that should have happened in the summer we could not accomplish them for different reasons.
"There are a lot of players that are going to go on loan. They are going to leave. And that's the priority at the moment because we cannot sustain the numbers that we have in certain positions.
"We are looking to do that."
In terms of new signings, Edu revealed at an Arsenal fans' forum last month that signing a creative player was high on the club's list, and Emi Buendia and Julian Brandt are just two of the names tipped to fill the creative void.
Meanwhile, Arteta has also confirmed a new goalkeeper is on his shortlist.
