Mesut Ozil is staying at Arsenal but agent says there’s 90 per cent chance he’ll leave next year

Mesut Ozil’s agent has reiterated that his client is staying at Arsenal this summer, but there is a 90 per cent chance he leaves next year.

Ozil currently has under 12 months left on his £350,000-a-week contract and he has not played a minute since football returned last month.

The attacking midfielder has, as a result, been linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer in search of more first-team football.

But his agent, Erkut Sogut, is quoted by Fanatik as telling futblogiant: “I do not think there will be a change in the case of Mesut Ozil until the summer of 2021.

“He has a contract. There is no change. He will remain in Arsenal.”

Ozil has been linked with a move away from Arsenal when his contract does expire in June 2021, with Fenerbahce one of those credited with an interest in him.

And on the 31-year-old’s plans for next year, Sogut is quoted as saying: “90 per cent [he] will leave Arsenal in 2021. Mesut to Asia, America or Turkey? Yes, maybe.”
