Mesut Ozil brutally trolls Tottenham fan who accused him of going missing

Mesut Ozil has taken aim at a Tottenham fan who accused him of going missing.

A Spurs supporter posted an image of Tottenham's starting XI posing for a team photo ahead of their friendly defeat by Manchester United.

The picture showed two rows of Spurs players but was slightly askew, with more footballers on the front row than the back.

As a result it appeared that someone was missing from the shot, prompting a Spurs fan to post the image to Twitter alongside the caption: "Wait why the f*** was Ozil in our team photo?"

Arsenal's German midfielder wasted no time in responding to the Tweet with a sassy Tweet of his own that took aim at Tottenham.

"If you look closely," replied Ozil. "You can see your trophy cabinet."

Spurs were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United in Thursday's friendly in Shanghai.

Anthony Martial opened the scoring for the Red Devils on the 21 minute mark as United lead 1-0 at the break.

Lucas Moura netted Spurs' equaliser and the game was fizzling out before Angel Gomes bagged the winner 10 minutes before the end.

After the match the Red Devils youngster revealed his delight in scoring and his aim to catch Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's eye.

"I can't even describe how it felt, I saw it go in the back of the net and just wanted to go and celebrate with the fans, that's why I slipped," said Gomes.

"It's my second tour now and I knew I had to show what I could do."
