Mesut Ozil breaks silence after Arsenal beat Chelsea to win the FA Cup

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has issued a message to his teammates following the victory in the FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium.

The Gunners fell behind after Christian Pulisic opened the scoring with just five minutes on the clock but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang then turned the tide with a goal in each half.

That saw Mikel Arteta's side clinch a 14th FA Cup trophy, extending their record as the most successful club in the competition's history, with the Spaniard clinching success just months after taking the reigns.

One man that was absent for the match though was Ozil, as he continued to be overlooked with question marks continuing to hover around his future.

The club's highest earner has not featured for Arteta's side since a 1-0 victory in the Premier League against West Ham in March, failing to appear for a single minute since the season resumed in June.

However, taking to social media after the final whistle, he sent a message of congratulations to his teammates after the win against their London rivals.

"Great job my boys," he posted on Twitter alongside emojis representing a trophy, love heart and clapping hands, as well as hashtagging 'YaGunnersYa' and 'FACupWinners'
