"I am so grateful for the precious times we shared and that my Nanna got to see all three of my beautiful children that my Nanna loved so much and gave her so much joy. I have the best childhood memories, holiday memories and memories with my babies with my Nanna that I am so grateful for. I wish I could see and give her one last cuddle and tell her how much I loved her but I think she knew."

In the images Helen shared, her nan Nancy could be seen smiling in several images with the soap stars children and daughter. The messages of support were quick to come pouring in.

Former colleague Michelle Keegan wrote: "So sorry for your loss Hels." as Helen's on screen mum Sally Dynveor, who played Sally Webster, added: "Oh Helen I’m so sorry. Love to you and the family."

Fans were also quick to show their love and support as one user wrote: "So sorry for your loss. My wonderful Nan passed away a year tomorrow. Miss her so much. I was a nanny's girl even at 38. Sending love and healing thoughts."

Another said: "Sorry to hear of you loss. Both my Nans have gone and miss them dearly. What I would do for a cup of tea a piece of their homemade cake and a chat. Thinking of you."

A third added: "Sending love to all the family at this sad time …. You can’t beat a great Nanna …. They are simply the best."
