Alex Mighten produced a neat finish to help England under-19s rack up a 6-1 thrashing of Arsenal under-23s.
The US-born Nottingham Forest-raised 18-year-old winger has broken onto the fringes of the first team this season and has continued his progress at England youth level.
He turned out for the international under-19s on Saturday in a friendly at St George's Park and fans were impressed when Forest posted his goal on this social media channels.
Mighten is under contract until 2025 and supporters are excited about how quickly he can make the step up.
One said: "He is a big part of our future, got a massive future ahead of him."
Another added: "Kid needs a run of games and get him ready for next season. He’s quick and direct and can finish which is exactly what we lack going forwards."
There were a few messages for Chris Hughton, including one which said: "Wouldn't mind him getting a few chances up front, has pace to get behind teams which the other forward players don't have."
One said: "Play him and give him a reason to stay! This season is pretty much dead so let's get him a run of games to set him up for next season."
"We need to hang onto him," said another.
And another said: "I hope Chris Hughton was watching."
