Message to person who left odd packages on police car

Police officers returned to their car to find two odd packages left on the windscreen.

British Transport Police posted to its Merseyside social media account that officers returned to a patrol car in the area after dealing with a victim of an assault to find two packages, a box of two Belgian buns and a bag of sweets and chocolate. Officers thanked the mystery gift giver for their act of kindness.

The tweet said: "Random acts of kindness. Officers were dealing with a victim of an assault and on returning to the vehicle these were kindly left. Thank you."
