A message in a bottle from Germany has washed up on Irish shores after a staggering 19 years.
The incredible discovery was made in Glengarriff Woods, Co Cork, on Thursday.
It was quickly opened, revealing the long lost message that lay inside.
Unfortuantely, given the length of time that it was in the water and also because it was sent in a plastic bottle as opposed to glass, the writing has become a little bit difficult to read, Cork Beo reports.
Glengarriff Nature Reserve, managed by National Parks and Wildlife Service Ireland, took to their official Twitter account in the hope that someone could provide some assistance.
"19-year-old message in a bottle found today! Can anyone help find the sender?," reads their post.
"The message says: Hello Fellow 04/05/01. Greetings from Germany to the seaman who found this bottle! Send a message to: (see photo for the email address that can't be made out.).
"But the email address is hard to read. Can anyone help decipher it?"
