One of Merseyside’s most popular restaurants has confirmed it is reopening after closing suddenly earlier this month.
The Refreshment Rooms, in Rock Ferry, Wirral, chose to close on September 4 after two members of staff tested positive for coronavirus.
Now, the popular venue has confirmed its plans to reopen after 14 days of closure and will open its doors on Friday, September 18.

In an email to customers, the team wrote: “Hi we’re back, again!!! Well, after our trials and tribulations, all staff are now fully fit, well and raring to go.
“With no further issues from track and trace we're ready to reopen from Friday 18th of September at Midday.
”We made a difficult decision to close which seems to have been the correct one, we have a professional company booked in for a deep, disinfecting treatment and are ready to reopen, bigger, better and stronger with our brand new menu!

“We will resume Saturday & Sunday breakfasts 9-11am on Saturday 26th September.
“Thank you for all your support so far and we apologise for any inconvenience caused to those who needed to self isolate, rest assured we will continue to consider everyone's health and safety as a priority and look forward to welcoming you back.”
The Refreshment Rooms will open tomorrow, September 18 from midday.
