A call-handler for the North West Ambulance Service has been called a 'hero' after he rescued a woman during a mental health crisis.
Imran joined the NHS last year after he was made redundant from his 11 year career as a flight attendant as a result of the pandemic.
He was one of the heroic members of staff who appeared on the latest episode of BBC 's Ambulance - which is focussing on the North West Ambulance Service's efforts to care for patients against the backdrop of the Covid lockdown.

Thursday's episode focused on the mental health crisis - and how people's mental well-being was drastically impacted during the lockdown.
The latest edition revealed the strain put on the call-handling staff in Merseyside - as workers in the region had to also deal with emergency calls from Scotland due to staff shortages.
To cope with the demand, agency staff were brought in to offer additional support to the control room.
Imran was a part of the new workforce - and he was on his 16th call of the day when a mental health practitioner got in contact to inform him there was a person on the line in crisis.
She said: "This lady is known to the mental health services and she said she can maintain her own safety until you get in contact with her."
The nearest available resource was 12 minutes away - so Imran needed to keep the patient on the line for this time.
And Imran handled the situation in heroic fashion as he eased the person's anxieties by reminding her to focus on the positives in life.
He said: "When something is a positive, we won't turn it into a negative. We need to stay positive because what else do we have."
Imran's words struck a chord with the caller as she said Imran should become a mental health crisis worker.
Viewers of the show took to Twitter in tears after the exchange to label the call handler a hero.
One user said: "Omg Imran what an incredible positive chap to have on the other end of the line when you're feeling in crisis. Want to give him a massive hug!!
Another added: "Imran is an absolute gem. Wow, what an incredible human being."
A third said: "Seems like Imran has found his calling. What a fabulous young man.."
A fourth posted: "Well done Imran. Your kind words seemed to have helped that caller."
A fifth said: "Good on you BBC. I watched #Ambulance with a keen interest tonight. It was needed; not only to prove to others going through it that they are not alone, but also for highlighting the hidden crisis attached to the pandemic. Imran is an absolute hero."
Ambulance airs on Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One.
