Merseyside manufacturing firm Coral Products moves to Manchester

A Merseyside listed plastics firm has relocated to Greater Manchester.

Coral Products, a manufacturer and distributor of plastic products in sectors including food packaging, personal care, telecoms and rail, has listed a change in its registered office.

The London Stock Exchange-listed firm's HQ has switched to the Roundthorn Industrial Estate in Wythenshawe, Manchester, from its former Haydock Industrial Park home in St Helens.

The announcement released to the markets on Monday afternoon added that the disposals of its mouldings business - and Interpack Ltd - will complete by Thursday.

The firm in December reported a dip in revenues and profit following what its chairman described as "one of the most difficult" trading periods he has ever experienced.

Joe Grimmond cited Brexit, the US-China trade wars, the 2019 General Election and the Covid-19 pandemic as the reasons why his firm saw profits drop from £24.7m last year to £22.3m.
