Today's update shows no other deaths at Trusts covering our region, including none at any of Liverpool's hospitals.

National picture

The total UK coronavirus death toll has risen by 233 in the latest update.

NHS England recorded a further 79 Covid-19 deaths, while Wales recorded eight deaths, Scotland reported five and Northern Ireland one.

However, when collating all deaths - including those in care homes or in the community - the Department of Health said the overall total of further deaths amounted to 233.

It means the government's death total is closing in on 42,000.

Official numbers from the Office for National Statistics suggest the real total is over 50,000.
