Merseyside homes with far reaching views on the market

A development of luxury new build homes from which you can spot Formby beach and Blackpool Tower on a clear day have gone on the market.

The two properties are located on Lang Lane South on the Wirral, a stone's throw from the heart of the picturesque West Kirby.

They ooze kerb appeal, with each boasting huge cathedral style windows and pitched roofs.

Savills are marketing both homes, with the more expensive home going for a guide price of £750,000. Known as The Forge, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom property has a footprint of more than 1,400 sq ft.

Next door, Farrier House is a four-bedroom property going for £695,000.

Both homes have an interesting layout, entering on the ground floor where the bedrooms are. The Forge has three spacious bedrooms, one of which is en-suite, as well as a family bathroom and a utility room on the ground level.

Farrier House has three bedrooms on the ground floor, along with an en-suite, family bathroom and utility room, with a turning staircase leading to the fourth bedroom, a snug and a kitchen/diner on the first floor.

The living space and kitchen/dining areas are arranged in an open plan format on the top floor of each property, making the most of the massive windows.

Here there is also access to the garden via a bridge.

Jamie Bradshaw, property agent at Savills in Chester, said: "The views from the open plan kitchen and living area are incredible and would be a fantastic place to entertain guests. On a clear day you can even see over towards Blackpool Tower, Formby beach and Liverpool."

The listing added that each "bespoke" property has "recently been completed to an exacting standard of construction and design".

The property market in West Kirby is buoyant. According to Rightmove, homes there fetched an overall average of £432,868 over the last year.

The figure is 11% higher than the previous 12 months and a huge 23% up on the 2020 peak of £350,640.

The majority of house sales there were semi-detached properties for an average of £400,576 although detached homes changes hands for a whopping £755,225.
