A Merseyside restaurant has made it into a top 10 list of best roast dinners in the country.
Each year, Instagram reviewers @rategoodroasts travel the country to try and find the best roast dinners in the land.
It’s now published its list of top 10 best roasts in 2021 and the north of England fared particularly well, taking three of the top four spots.

The team reviewed more than 100 roasts to come up with its top 10 list and it’s the fourth time it has published an annual list of best roast dinners.
This year’s list was topped by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge’s Manchester pub The Bull and Bear where a Sunday set menu costs £39 for two courses and £46.50 for three.
In second place was 12:15 Islington, in London, whose head chef is Great British Menu star James Cochran. Its Sunday roasts are priced at £25 per person.
Third place was The Wheatsheef Inn, in Brigsteer, which is around an hour and a half from Liverpool. And Merseyside made it onto the list with Crosby venue Mustard and Co. taking the fourth spot.
The bistro and bar on College Road serves a Sunday Market Menu from midday to 7pm on Sundays, which includes Ribeye of Beef for £17.95, Honey Smoked Chicken for £14.95, a Vegan Roast for £15.95, plus a Fish Roast and children’s options. Its roast dinners are served with roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshire pudding, honeyed carrots, seasonal greens, sticky red cabbage and speciality jus, with vegan options available.
Diners clearly agree with Rate Good Roasts, with Mustard and Co. receiving a huge amount of ‘excellent’ reviews on TripAdvisor and people describing the venue as ‘food heaven’ and a ‘gem of a restaurant’.
