Train cancellations and timetable changes are set to have an impact on shoppers heading home from Liverpool and party-goers heading into the city centre tonight.
Merseyrail services on the Kirkby and Ormskirk lines will be hit, with three trains cancelled and several facing amended schedules.
The timetable changes are due to a "shortage of traincrew", the travel organisation explained on social media.

The changes will see:
- The 17:00 Liverpool Central to Kirkby service will start at Walton
- The 18:00 Liverpool Central to Ormskirk service will terminate at Sandhills
- The 18:48 Ormskirk to Liverpool service is cancelled
- The 19:30 Liverpool Central to Kirkby service is cancelled
- The 19:58 Kirkby to Liverpool Central service is cancelled
- The 20:20 Liverpool Central to Kirkby service will instead start at Rice Lane
