Mersey Police Dog Mizz is hero in arrest of wanted man

Four-legged members of Mersey Police Dogs are such an integral part of the Merseyside force's work that it comes as no surprise when police pooches rise to the occasion during their shift.

Last night (November 24) it was Police Dog Mizz who grabbed the limelight while out fighting crime, his work leading to the arrest of a wanted man.

Police officers tweeted: "Earlier this evening a male breached his non-molestation order and fled on foot from officers.

"PD Mizz can always smell trouble and it didn't take him long to sniff out the male hiding in a nearby garden.

"Mizz offered him some 'verbal advice' and the male came quietly."
