Mersey home overlooking world-famous golf course for sale

A Merseyside home offering jaw-dropping views across a globally renowned golf course is for sale.

The charming two-bed home is set within a brooding character building on Stanley Road in Hoylake , on the Wirral, accessed via iron gates and up a long gravel pathway to stone steps.

Not only does it offer stunning views of The Royal Liverpool Golf Club - the site which is set to host The Open in July 2023 - it's also a walk away from Merseyside's beautiful coastline, near Hilbre Island.

The home is accessed through a hardwood, oversized front door with stained-glass windows. The entrance hall to the maisonette also provides access to a quaint balcony, which makes the most of the amazing views.

Deceptively spacious, the maisonette has a huge lounge with a small dining area, ornate coving and a stone fire surround. The kitchen is also generously proportioned.

Upstairs are two double bedrooms, the master of which boasts built-in wardrobes offering an abundance of storage space.

The colourful family bathroom features a corner tub. The floral wallpaper, which even extends to the ceilings, clashes with the bright teal suite.

The property is on the market for offers in the region of £369,995 with Market Street Homes, which described it as having "huge potential".

According to Rightmove, houses sold for an overall average of £313,582 in Hoylake over the last year. The figure is 11% higher than the 2016 peak of £283,756, although its a 5% dip on the previous 12 months.

The majority of sales were flats, which fetched an average of £177,452, while semi-detached homes and terraces sold for £399,130 and £291,066 respectively.
