Mersey Ferries to host brand new six hour music festival cruise on River Mersey

This summer, there will be a brand new festival taking place in Liverpool on the River Mersey.

Fezzy Cross the Mersey will be the first ever six-hour festival taking place on a Mersey Ferry.

The line up of artists and DJs include Anton Powers, Yasmin Depp, Ukebox, Tequila and JC and the Two Steps.

DJ Anton Powers, said: "I’m super excited to be performing on the first ever ‘Fezzy Cross The Mersey’.

"I can still remember getting the ferry as a kid and have fond memories of travelling on it.

"The line-up for this is fantastic and I can’t wait to close the event with my set as we sail across the Mersey, I’ll have some big tunes lined up for it."

Taking place on Sunday, August 11 , the event promises live performances against the backdrop of Liverpool’s stunning UNESCO World Heritage waterfront.

Gary Evans from Mersey Ferries, said: "This is one of the most exciting cruises we’ve ever launched.

"Our team has worked in conjunction partners to ensure we’ve created a line up which includes a mix of well-loved local artists, but also a headliner who will excite passengers and help them to enjoy a festival experience on the iconic Mersey Ferry."

Tickets for the cruise are £45 per person. The cruise departs from Seacombe at 12pm and from Pier Head at 12.15pm – with passengers having the option to leave the vessel and re-join at various times during the day.
