Merewether trophy home sold in a day for what is believed to be a suburb record

LUXURY: The sold sticker was up on this seven-bedroom, six-bathroom residence in a prized beachside position the day after marketing began.

A fast sale is believed to have set in a new suburb record for Merewether and the second-highest result for the Newcastle property market.

Robinson Property's Mike Flook launched a luxurious seven-bedroom, six-bathroom trophy home with stunning water views at 10 Ocean Street on September 10. The sold sticker was seen up the following day.

When contacted, Mr Flook confirmed the sale but did not disclose the price, which the Newcastle Herald believes to be over $6 million. If the rumours are true, it would be a new suburb record for Merewether.
