
It was Newcastle's most talked about residential property of 2019 and Merewether's "Black House" attracted plenty of attention again before it was secured by a local buyer.
Cveta Kolarovski, of Cveta Property, sold the one-of-a-kind home at 21 Flowerdale Avenue for an undisclosed sum. But the Newcastle Herald believes the unique property was bought within the marketing guide of $2.49 million to $2.7 million.
According to Australian Property Monitors data, it had sold for $2.18 million in October 2019.
Inside the Black House, a palette of precast concrete walls and polished concrete floors is offset by reclaimed oak feature walls, bespoke metal floating staircases, custom timber cabinetry and vertical green walls. There are four bedrooms, including a top-level master retreat, and three bathrooms.
Outside, it blend into its natural surrounds with rooftop gardens on every level. It has an internal lift and a gas-heated mineral pool and was created by Guy Bunder of Made Architectural Constructions.

Belle Property Lake Macquarie have set two new suburb highs. Anthony Di Nardo reported between 300 to 400 enquiries and around 100 inspections of a renovated three-bedroom home on 854 square metres of land at 34 Third Street in Boolaroo that sold for a suburb record $910,000 prior to auction.
Sam Taylor said there was increasing interest for Appletree Grove Estate in West Wallsend, where he sold a four-bedroom house on a 775 square metre block at 61 Royalty Road for $812,000. It is believed to be a suburb record sale for a non-acreage property.

There were multiple offers for a four-bedroom home at 34 Bracken Close in Cameron Park that Belle sold for $635,000 after just six days on the market and for a three-bedroom house at 15 Lees Street, Charlestown that sold above its guide for $690,250.
