Tasmanian quick Riley Meredith will debut in Australia's do-or-die T20 international against New Zealand on Wednesday.
Meredith comes in for Daniel Sams in the Australian team, which sits 2-0 behind in the best of five series.
Kiwi captain Kane Williamson won the toss and sent Australia in to bat at Wellington's Sky Stadium.
The Black Caps have also made their first change of the series, swapping out Mitchell Santner for Mark Chapman.
NZ Cricket says Santner "woke up this morning with a head-cold" and is self-isolating and taking a COVID-19 test "as a precautionary measure".
Adam Zampa, retained alongside fellow spinner Ashton Agar, will play his 100th game for Australia.
The rest of the five game series is being played in Wellington due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Auckland.
