It's arguably the most prestigious prize in British music.
The Mercury Prize 2019 is an annual recognition of the best album released in the United Kingdom by British or Irish musicians in 2019 and was founded as an alternative to the more mainstream Brit Awards in 1992.
Last year's 2018 ceremony saw band Wolf Alice take home the prize for their acclaimed album Visions of Life, beating the likes of Florence + the Machine, Lily Allen , and Arctic Monkeys for the gong.
So, who will be lucky this year?
