AHMEDABAD: The gentle breezes, which have been giving Amdavadis much-needed respite from scorching heat for the past couple of days, are expected to keep the city cool today as well.
For the first time this summer, Ahmedabad’s maximum temperature – 41.2°C – was 0.5 degrees lower than the normal temperature.
Manorama Mohanty, head of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Gujarat, said that a low-pressure area over Rajasthan has caused the phenomenon, resulting in gusty winds in many parts of the state.
