A street in Glasgow's city centre has been closed by police.
Drivers are being asked to avoid Cochrane Street in the Merchant City.
Eyewitnesses have said that police are currently on the scene as investigators work to determine the nature of the incident.
A police diversion is currently in place for anyone travelling in that direction.
It was initially thought that there could have been a gas leak but engineers have since confirmed that this wasn't the case.
A possible power fault is now being investigated.
Scottish Power have attended the site to investigate. Cochrane Street will remain closed until further notice.
