This week we’ve hosted two Guardian-Muzu live sessions with Floridian former punks Merchandise - the first, Green Lady and the second, Enemy. Today is the final instalment of their video series, and it comes in the form of their 2012 track Time, a tragic piece of music, says frontman Carson Cox, about “being miserable” among other things.
“I went through some personal madness but [Time] was also a reflection of being objective about changing life and all that stuff,” Cox says. “That was the beginning of trying to not just take a portrait of a sour personal time, but also looking at it, going beyond it, and trying to create something else.”
