This was the scene after a Mercedes van colided with a Ford Fiesta outside Aintree racecourse.
Police were called to Grant National Avenue at around 9.30pm last night after a collision between a Mercedes Sprinter van and a Ford Fiesta.
Photographs from the scene showed that the Mercedes van had then crashed into railings at the scene.
Police told the ECHO that both drivers stopped at the scene of the accident. There were no injuries. Police said breath tests were carried out on both drivers, and proved negative.
The accident did cause some delays in the area while emergency services attended. Both vehicles were later removed from the scene.
Grant National Avenue is an entry road into the world famous race course.
