Mercedes van 'set on fire outside house'

A Mercedes van was deliberately set on fire in the road, it is suspected.

Merseyside police were called by the fire and rescue service to Lower Breck Road, at around 9.36pm on Thursday, December 15. Firefighters had put out a blaze after a Mercedes Vito went up in flames.

Emergency services closed the road and forensics investigated the vehicle within a cordon. Officers have now confirmed that they are treating the incident as suspected malicious ignition.
