A Mercedes driver abandoned their car after a crash on a dual carriageway.
Digmoor Road in Skelmersdale was closed following the crash between a white Mercedes A-Class and a grey Vauxhall last night, May 24. Witnesses described seeing emergency services at the scene after police were called at around 10.18pm.
The driver of the Vauxhall was taken to Southport Hospital with injuries which are not believed to be serious, police said. The driver of the Mercedes abandoned the car and left the scene before police arrived.

Lancashire Police said officers are now trying to trace the Mercedes driver. It came after officers were called to the area earlier that afternoon to reports of a separate crash between a car and a pedal bike.
Police said they were called Beechtrees at around 4.23pm on Tuesday to reports of the "minor injury collision".
