Mercedes-Benz dealer eStar Truck and Van signs agreement for two huge units at Alchemy Business Park

A Mercedes-Benz franchisee and commercial vehicle specialist has signed a deal for two huge units at a Merseyside business park, meaning it is now fully let.

North West-based vehicle dealer eStar Truck and Van Ltd has let the final two units of Element on Alchemy Business Park in Knowsley - taking units of 22,946sq ft and 45,586sq ft - a total of 68,532 on 15-year terms.

The deal was agreed with real estate developer Network Space at Element, the second phase of development at the park.

eStar holds the Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle franchise for the North West and North Wales and said it will set up a new dealership to include workshops as well as head office space.

Established in 2020, it is owned by Sid Sadique and Ali Sharifi, and employs more than 300 people across Warrington, Deeside, Liverpool, Stoke-on-Trent, and Trafford Park.

Element 1 will be used for vans and Element 3 dedicated to trucks. Element 2 is currently occupied by a global online retailer.

Sid Sadique, chairman at eStar, said: “We’re pleased to announce this latest investment in the eStar journey, establishing the business as the leading Mercedes-Benz truck and van dealer in the country."

The firm said the setup in Knowsley will be the "first of its kind in Europe" - housing separate van and truck workshops, providing customer experience and service "of the highest standard".

Joe Burnett, development director at Network Space, added: “Alchemy Business Park is fast becoming one of the North West’s premier employment sites. This significant letting means that Element is now 100% occupied and eStar is an exciting business that will bring a wealth of job and inward investment opportunities to the region.

“We are delighted that the deal has been agreed on both units with a business that will help to strengthen the North West’s growing reputation as a green industry hub.”

Element was delivered in partnership with Knowsley Council and Liverpool City Region.

Agents for Element were CBRE and B8RE. Construction partners for the development were Caddick Construction.
