Mercedes and over £15,000 of designer goods seized in Prescot flat raid

A raid on a Prescot town centre flat revealed an "edible drugs" factory along with designer goods and a top-of-the-range Mercedes.

The search of the property on Saturday led to the recovery of a large quantity of white tablets (suspected Class C), diazepam tablets (not prescribed), suspected LSD tabs, cannabis, cannabis edibles and other drugs including suspected Class A.

A production setup was also found inside the flat, which officers believe was being used by the occupier to create edible drugs.

A man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs, and production of controlled drugs.

After the raid, Knowsley Police posted on its Facebook page: "Unfortunately for the male, a Proceeds of Crime recovery was granted and officers seized numerous items including designer clothing and trainers, jewellery and watches, and electronic equipment, as they are believed to have been purchased with money obtained through crime.

"Over £15,000 worth of items were recovered. A Mercedes GLA was also seized as part of the investigation."
