Four-door model of Stuttgart’s small car family gets an array of visual and mechanical tweaks.

Sounds like a nice sports sedan!
This is the all-new Mercedes-AMG A35 Saloon which gets the warmed-up performance first deployed in the A35 hatchback.
The drive system consists of 306hp/400Nm 2.0-litre petrol-turbo, seven-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.
Mercedes says the four-door A35 goes from 0-100kph in 4.8sec, a tenth of second slower than its five-door sibling due to reasons of weight.
Mercedes says the A35's exhaust system can be made to sound racier by switching the drive mode selector into Sport+, which also makes other driving parameters more responsive.

What are the chassis mods?
The A35 sedan receives special 18- or 19-inch wheels, beefier suspension setting and four-piston brake calipers up front.
Moreover, the AWD system can send up to 50% of drive to the rear wheels. Like all other members of Mercedes’ small car family, the A35 is based on a platform accommodating transversely laid out engines and, on lesser performing models, front-wheel-drive system.
For the sake of differentiation, the exterior and interior in the A35 have been spruced up with sporty details like those for the air splitter up front and front seats.

When is it coming?
At the moment, none of the new-generation models (A-class hatch and sedan, plus sleek-looking four-dour CLA) have yet to reach Thai showrooms covering the 2-4 million baht price range.
Due to some constraints in production capacity, they may come later this year rather than in the first quarter as planned earlier, according to sources. An A35 should cost around three million baht.
Mercedes-Benz Thailand may not have to rush with things here. Audi doesn’t sell the four-door A3 in Thailand due to tight margins caused by its imported status, while BMW is still keeping the 1 Series Sedan just for China.
