Men threaten Tesco staff with hammer and stole alcohol

Two men threatened staff at a Tesco store with a hammer before stealing alcohol in a robbery.

Police said they were called at 3.30am on October 4 following reports of two men threatening staff at Tesco Extra in Top Valley with the weapon.

The men stole two bags of what police described as "boxed alcohol" before running off in the direction of Bulwell Forest golf course.

A statement from the force said: "Officers are appealing for witnesses and information after a robbery where two men stole boxed alcohol at Tesco in Top Valley Drive, Top Valley.

"The men stole two bags full of boxed alcohol and made off on foot, towards the golf course.

"No-one was injured in the incident."

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 53 of October 4, 2019.
