A men's formalwear chain has opened a new shop in the Black Country.
Suit Direct has launched the new ‘SD' venue at the Merry Hill centre in Dudley after agreeing a deal for a 1,302 sq ft store on its upper mall.
The store sells suits, accessories and casualwear and the launch has created six new jobs.
It joins a sister site in New Street, Birmingham, which opened last year and was the Leeds-based company's first high street store in the UK, adding to its portfolio of sites in outlet villages and shopping centres.
The company said it was planning to open a further eight stores during 2021.
Mark Cotter, chief executive of Baird Group which owns Suit Direct, said: "We're delighted to be opening our new Merry Hill store.
"It was an ideal location for us and an important part of our major UK store roll out planned for the next 12 months. Our vision is to be the go-to destination for contemporary and inspiring menswear brands.
"With this new store, SD by Suit Direct is aiming to help fill the void in affordable and stylish menswear left by the unfortunate closure of other high street and shopping centre stores over the past 12 months and we are extremely excited for the future of the brand."
