Men make off with HGV full of food after breaking into address

Police have released CCTV images of three men they want to question after a HGV full of food was stolen.

Detectives investigating the burglary in Rainford have this morning issued images of the men they want to speak to in connection to the theft.

The burglary took place at around 2.30am on Monday, January 4.

Four men are reported to have broken into an address on Maggots Nook Road and taken a lorry containing a large amount of food.

The investigation is ongoing and detectives are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

Detective Inspector Jackie Guinness said: "A significant amount of goods were stolen following a burglary at an address in Rainford and I would ask anyone with information to come forward.

"We are particularly keen to speak to the three men pictured as we believe they may have vital information to assist the investigation, and would ask them, or anyone who recognises them, to please come forward."
