Men left with fractured skull and broken nose after assault at Long Eaton railway station

A man suffered a fractured skull and his friend was left with a broken nose following an assault in a railway station car park.

The two men were in the car park at Long Eaton railway station when they were approached by a group of five young men.

An assault then took place, leading to Derbyshire Police releasing a CCTV image of a group they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

A force spokesperson said: "We are releasing these images of a group we would like to speak to about the incident.

"We appreciate the quality of the images is poor but they may be enough to jog someone’s memory.

"The incident happened at about 8.45pm on Saturday, April 17.

"Witnesses or anyone with information should contact us quoting reference 21*210766."

You can contact Derbyshire Police on 101, message the force on its Facebook or Twitter pages, or complete an online form on its website.

You can also report the incident anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
