Men flown to John Hunter Hospital

IT was a busy time for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) in Muswellbrook at the weekend.

On Sunday afternoon, March 15, the WRHS transported a 56-year-old man to John Hunter Hospital following a motorcycle accident.

It is believed he suffered arm injuries in the incident.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being conveyed, by road, to Muswellbrook District Hospital to rendezvous with the helicopter.

The patient was in a stable condition.

Then, about 8.30pm, the WRHS headed to a property at Muscle Creek.

A 37-year-old man sustained chest injuries when the excavator he was operating rolled.

He was also treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the WRHS critical care team.

The helicopter then transported the male to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
