Two men climbed onto the roof of Anfield stadium in the early hours.
YouTuber Kain Hogg, 23, told the ECHO that he and a friend made it onto the roof of the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand of Liverpool FC's ground at around 3am on Tuesday (October 25). The video - which shows them entering the site and making their way onto the roof of the Anfield Road End, before moving up onto the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand - was posted to his YouTube channel.
Kain said that he and his friend took on the climb not only for an adrenaline rush, but to point out what they believe are flaws in the site's security. The Anfield Road End is currently being expanded and Kain said he gained access to the stadium through the construction site, which is a run by a contractor.

Kain, who is originally from the Lake District, told the ECHO : "We do a lot of climbing. We explore places, we look at security and what breaches they may have. At the end of the day, we do it as a hobby and for adrenaline.
“The site’s getting upgraded at the moment. There’s a lot of construction, so we used that as the advantage to get through and then onto the roof of the stadium.
"We actually went undetected. We thought it was astonishing that we could get onto the roof. We kind of proved that the site isn’t secure enough."
He added: “We do look into security and where they’re possibly lacking. Most of the stuff that we do can help improve these companies’ security. We were so confused as to how we could get in and up and nothing happened."
Kain described their climb as "treacherous" but was glad to get onto the roof. He said: "It was amazing on the roof. The adrenaline was rushing through - the view was amazing but we were thinking if we’d got there without being seen.
"We were whispering because you could hear a pin drop in that stadium. It’s a crazy feeling, you see perspectives that other people don’t see. It looked really good."
Explaining why he went up there, Kain said: "We’re not there to cause trouble for them, we’re there to do videos and maybe they should look into how the security works with their site."
When approached by the ECHO, Liverpool FC confirmed they cannot comment on matters of security.
The contractor has been contacted for comment. The ECHO understands that the incident was caught on security cameras and Merseyside Police is aware of the incident.
