Men charged after Co-op store cash machine ram-raided

Two men have been charged after a Co-op store was ram-raided and a cash machine ripped out of the store.

The incident happened at about 9pm on Monday on Orford Lane, Warrington.

Today, police said they had charged two men from Liverpool, named as Thomas Eden, 26, and Christopher Jones, 31.

They are both of no fixed abode.

Eden and Jones are charged with robbery while Jones also faces a charge of escaping from lawful custody.

They were remanded in custody and were due to appear today before magistrates in Warrington.

Anyone who has any information or witnessed the incident is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 730870.
