Two men have been charged after reports they were acting suspiciously near Uriarra on Friday night.
A 28-year-old Charnwood man faced ACT Magistrates Court on Saturday morning charged with riding in a car without consent, and breaching a good behaviour order.
A 29-year-old Queanbeyan man will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday charged with driving a car without consent, driving while disqualified, resisting arrest, damaging property and breaching a good behaviour order.
Police allege one man drove at officers in an attempt to escape.
Police received reports of suspicious activity near Uriarra at about 8.30pm on Friday, where two men had parked a white Ford Focus near a shed on Paddy's River Road.
Further reports were received about the same vehicle doing burnouts in Uriarra village.
At 8.55pm police found the men at the Cotter Bend camp ground. Police allege it was at this stage that they were driven at by one of the men in an attempt to escape.
A short time later, a white Nissan Patrol was reported stolen from a Cotter Road residence.
About 9.45 pm police located the Nissan near the Cotter Road, where it had been involved in a collision, possibly with the Ford.
The two men were found nearby, and taken to hospital for examination.
One man was arrested at hospital, the other was taken to the ACT Regional Watch House and charged.
